The author traces the genealogy of the main concepts, ideas and agendas of decolonial thought as they have been formulated and reormulated in the last three decades. Te author revsits these ideas from the current position and the changing global conditions. Tlostanova critically considers such key issues of decoloniality as delinking and possible dialogues with postcolonial theory, existential and ontological aspects of decoloniality, decolonizing museums and universities, decolonial aesthesis and affectivity, the analysis of culture and art of the postsoviet space through the lens of decoloniality. Three chapters zoom in the works of three contemporary women aritsts with a decolonial optic - Saule Suleymenova, Taus Makhacheva and Hayv Kahraman.
