The chapter is composed as a poetic-philosophic conversation between the two authors, Camila Marambio and Nina Lykke, about shared, but differently situated experiences of liminality in terms of having been close to the powerful thresholds of life and death. The chapter reflects on the ways in which this kind of liminality perhaps has prompted the authors to rethink these thresholds, and to unfold altered sensibilities, which have drawn them into symphysizing (bodily empathizing) love relationships with all other living/dying critters on earth. Comparing notes through a twinning methodology and a twin autophenomenographic analysis, the authors also discuss how they have come to share an insight in these sensibilities as deeply sexual—and in resonance with vital spiritmattering powers, believed to make up the world.
