Abstract [en]

The aim of this study is to examine the discourses of the swedish extreme right party Sverigedemokraterna (Swedish democrats) and try to show how they define the real and actual swedish society. With the method discourseanalysis, based of social cunstrctionsim, I have studied debate articles from the partys official website and the official party newspaper. In the study I have found three important maindiscourses about the actual nature of the present swedish community. It concerns the migration of immigrants to Sweden, the fragmentation of the traditional “swedishness” and the swedish political establishmensts leting down of its people for the making of the multucultural society. The Swedish democrats political standpoint is that a massive immigration of cultural foreignt people has and will continue to damage the homogeneus swedish communety in the areas of national economics, the maintaining of the welfare state and the unemployment. Further has the swedish political establishment become distant to the comon swedish people by no longer act in their best interests. Instead the establishment constantly tries to deny a cultural Swedish ness in the setting up of the multicultural society, and by doing that they, accordingly to the Swedish democrats, become hostile towards their own people.
