Abstract [en]

The paper gives a bibliographical review of the finite element methods (FEMs) applied to the creep and creep fracture/damage of engineering materials and structures from the theoretical as well as practical points of view. The added bibliography at the end of the paper contains 964 references to papers, conference proceedings and theses/dissertations on the subject that were published between 1980-1999. These are classified in the following categories: materials, topics, and areas of applications.
