Abstract [en]

This article discusses the founding of Sweden's coastal sanatoria for the treatment of non-pulmonary tuberculosis among children. This survey sketches the origins, finansing, the political and scientific debates, as well as giving a broad profile of patients. The results are placed within the context of the development of soail policy within the early twentieth century.
