Organize for Innovation : Let the Creativity Flow! (English)
Today it is regarded as important that organizations create the necessary conditions for their co-workers to enable them to be creative in their work. This since co-workers competence and creativity play an important role when it comes to organizations ability to create new innovative products.
The purpose with this study is to describe and analyze conditions that are considered to affect creativity carried out in organizations. Through a survey we examined how co-workers perceive their current work climate within a strong growing innovative business. This because work climate is considered to give expression for many of the conditions that can affect creative work carried out in organizations.
Taken together the result shows that the co-workers are positive about their current work climate. This gives them favorable conditions under which they can be creative in the work they are carrying out. However, we also found that the co-workers to a certain extent lacked time for reflection at work and often experienced time pressure. The time pressure did however affect the co-workers very differently. The co-workers also expressed that ideas that are put forward, need more attention. These are factors that in the future could restrict the creative efforts made by the co-workers.
We did not find any significant differences between the co-workers understandings about their current work climate regarding period of employment, former work experience or age.
