Low-Adder Rotators Based on Coefficient Scaling

This papers presents a novel approach for obtaining reconfigurable lowadder rotators. It is based on scaling the complex coefficients that define the rotations and jointly applying shift-and-add based techniques for realizing the multiplications. The proposed approach is applied to the rotations of the fast Fourier transform and the results indicate that the proposed approach always produces better solutions compared to existing methods in terms of number of adders and/or accuracy.
