De båda syskonstädernas historia har varit mycket olika. På medeltiden var de ungefär jämnstora, sedan drog Norrköping ifrån med hamn och industrier. De senaste årtiondena har de blivit jämförbara igen – och nu tycks Linköping ha starkast dynamik med kompetens som ligger i tiden.
