Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

As of today, word processor are the most common tool to use when writing thesises and reports. The main reason for their popularity is the creative freedom they are giving to the writer. As word processors are evolving, more and more functionality for doing typesetting and changing visual appearence of the documents are added. This might be restraining for the creative process of writing and composition.

This degree project demonstrates how the writing process can be separated from typesetting and visual appearence. A webbased application, for this purpose, is developed using several different techniques. The application will prove how this can work in reality.

The result of this degree project is a prototype of a webbased application which purpose is to facilitate the process of writing theses.
