Abstract [en]

We show how the SBPSAT technique can be used to derive a new family of methods for the time integration of initial value problems producing optimally sharp energy estimates. Some stability properties relevant for these methods are studied in detail, and accuracy results for both non-stiff and stiff problems are presented. We show that the technique is particularly suitable for the time integration of energy stable semi-discrete problems.
