Circular economy – opportunities and challenges : A quantitative study of the potential for a circular business model in the furniture industry (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential of a circular business model in the furniture industry. Through a questionnaire survey county councils/regions, municipalities and authorities have taken a stand on issues based on the concept of circular economy. The results of the study show that there is a very low demand for circular business model in the public sector. The market obstacle/barrier which mainly is considered to limit the introduction of a circular economy is the legal framework, the Public Procurement Act (LOU).
