'Eskatologi'2009In: Dødehavsrullene: Deres innhold, historie og betydning / [ed] Årstein Justnes, Kristiansand: Høyskoleforlaget , 2009, 1, p. 325-339Chapter in book (Other academic)
    Abstract [no]

Eskatologi2011In: Dödahavsrullarna: innehåll, bakgrund och betydelse / [ed] Cecilia Wassén, Stockholm: Atlantis , 2011, p. 303-317Chapter in book (Other academic)
    Abstract [sv]

'Eskatologia'2009In: Aare saviastioissa: Qumranin tekstit avautuvat, Helsinki: Kirjapaja , 2009, 1, p. 293-305Chapter in book (Other academic)
    Abstract [ca]

Qumranin tekstikääröt löydettiin Kuolleenmeren läheisistä luolista jo 1940-50-luvuilla, mutta kaikki tekstit on julkaistu vasta 2000-luvulla. Nyt tutkijat pääsevät vapaasti arvioimaan koko rikasta kokonaisuutta. Yli 900 käsikirjoitusta käsittävä kokoelma on syntynyt ajanlaskun alun molemmin puolin.

Sharing with the Divine in the Apocalypse: Meals as Metaphors – Concepts and Contexts2017In: The Eucharist – Its Origins and Contexts. Sacred Meal, Communal Meal, Table Fellowship in Late Antiquity, Early Judaism, and Early Christianity: Vol. 1, Old Testament, early Judaism, New Testament / [ed] David Hellholm and Dieter Sänger, Tübingen: Mohr Siebeck, 2017, p. 673-695Chapter in book (Refereed)
    Abstract [en]

Descriptions of meals, eating, and drinking, with their background in biblical and post-biblical Jewish traditions, are important parts of the metaphoric message of the Book of Revelation, regardless whether the context is positive (divine) or negative (satanic). The primary meaning of this imagery is to express the notion of a divine (or anti-divine) sharing between human beings and representatives of the heavenly world. Rather than associating the imagery of meals, food, and drink in Revelation with emerging early Christian eucharistic practice and theology, there may be a connection with the Johannine notion of a human sharing with the divine which is spiritual-sapiential rather than eucharistic-sacramental.
