Abstract [sv]
Föreliggande projekt syftar till att analysera och kritiskt granska den kommunala sjuksköterskans arbetsförhållanden och yrkesutövning inom hemsjukvård. Ett delsyfte är att identifiera nya forskningsfrågor inom fältet. Projektet ska ses i bakgrund mot rådande samhällsutveckling, demografiska förändringar och politiska ambitioner. De senaste decennierna har reformer införts på kommunal nivå och det har påverkat sjuksköterskors yrkesutövning mot att fokus ska ligga på social omsorg trots att allt sjukare personer vårdas i ordinärt boende. Projektet baseras på empiriskt datamaterial, med etiskt godkännande, som består av anteckningar och foton från kommunal hemsjukvård vilka beskriver sjuksköterskornas yrkesutövning. Sjuksköterskorna arbetade i två mellanstora kommuner och inom olika typer av bostadsområden. Datamaterialet har tematiserats på en beskrivande nivå, men då det är väldigt rikt och relativt unikt finns det god anledning att ta analysen några steg vidare. Den kommunala hemsjukvården är inte synlig då hälso-och sjukvården beskrivs, trots att den står för en betydande andel av den vård som ges. Det innebär bland annat att det finns otydliga gränser mot andra aktörer inom vården och omsorgen. Och med tanke på att det finns allt mer komplexa behov hos personer i ordinärt boende, verkar det som att pendeln svängt åt andra hållet – anställda inom kommunal vård- och omsorg i hemmet behöver orientera sig mot mer komplexa sjukdomstillstånd och den sociala omsorgen får stå tillbaka då allt fler personer med multi-sjuklighet vårdas i ordinärt boende. Trots detta saknas till exempel medicinteknisk utrustning, vilket är en utmaning för sjuksköterskorna inom hemsjukvården. Föreliggande projekt avser att genom att använda olika typer av metodologiska angreppssätt och teoretiska perspektiv fördjupa området och synliggöra deras arbetsmiljö. Abstract [en]
The project aims to analyse and critically examine the municipal nurse´s working conditions and professional practice in home care. An additional aim is to identify new research questions. The project might be seen in the backdrop of the prevailing societal development, demographic changes and political ambitions. In recent decades, different reforms have been introduced at the municipal level and this has affected nurses´ professional practice towards a focus on social care. In despite of the increased number of people with different conditions being cared for in ordinary housing. The project is based on earlier collected empirical data, with ethical approval, which consists of field notes and photos from municipal home health care which describe the nurses´ professional practice. The nurses worked in two medium-sized municipalities and in different types of neighbourhoods. The data has been thematized on a descriptive level, but since the material very rich and rather unique, it is motivated to take the analysis further. The municipal home health care is not visible when the health care is described, despite the fact that it accounts for a significant proportion of the care provided in the society. This means, among other things, that there are unclear boundaries with other health or social care staff.  And given that there are increasingly complex needs among people in ordinary housing, it seems that staff in municipal health care need to orient themselves towards more complex needs and social care must stand back as higher number of people with multi-morbidity are cared for in ordinary housing. Despite this, for example, there is a lack of different medical equipment, which is a challenge for nurses in home care. The project intends to explore the research area and make the nurses work environment visible by using different types of methodological approaches and theoretical perspectives.
